The World Bank has stopped publication of the 'Ease of Doing Business Report' to be released about ease of doing business.
After this news came, Congress leaders in India started taking a dig at the Modi government. But now news has come that India has nothing to do with this and due to the mess of four countries including China, the World Bank has to stop this report.
These countries messed up!
The World Bank has decided to review the 'Ease of Doing Business' list of the last 5 years and has currently banned the business ranking list coming in October this year.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the World Bank has taken this step on suspicion of rigging on behalf of four countries. These 4 countries are China, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.
These countries were above India in the 'Ease of Doing Business' list released in 2019. In the last few years, there has been a big jump in their ranking. Five years ago, China was ranked 90, while last year it reached 31.
During the last 5 years, India's ranking has also risen by 79 places and reached 63rd position in the 2019 list.
